Aaron Allison

Co-Founder at SBI Software

Aaron Allison is a lifelong innovator in the horticulture and ag-tech space, with a career built on firsthand grower experience and scaled through technology leadership. His entrepreneurial journey began early—starting a nursery in secret while still in college—an early signal of the drive and ingenuity that would define his career. After successfully selling that operation to a larger grower, Aaron moved to Oregon with plans to start another grow operation, but an unexpected opportunity shifted his path.

Instead, Aaron joined Doane Software (now AGS – Advanced Grower Solutions), where he quickly distinguished himself by blending deep grower knowledge with practical technology solutions. In a single year, he sold and implemented 55 grower systems, rapidly scaling deployments and earning a reputation for truly understanding the business processes behind successful wholesale grow operations.

In 2001, Aaron co-founded SBI Software with Tim Morita, bringing together real-world grower experience and purpose-built software. This combination in leadership has helped SBI grow into a comprehensive ERP platform serving 170 customers across five countries, trusted by growers to streamline operations, gain operational visibility, and scale profitably.

Aaron’s core expertise is the business process of wholesale growers—from production planning and inventory control to order management and operational execution. His unique strength lies in bridging grower reality with software design and implementation, making him a trusted advisor and industry authority for growers.
